At Miriam’s Munchies, we home bake a range of scrumptious sweet and
savoury munchies. Our range changes with the seasons and reflects
Miriam’s British and American roots. Included are traditional
British favourites as well as American delights.
 We
sell through local farmers' markets, and cafes. We are also happy to
bake to order and to cater your parties and events. We deliver
locally.
Locally sourced
We buy our ingredients locally, direct from local farms and from
stallholders at Farmers' Markets to produce our delicious delights.
Where an ingredient is not grown locally in the UK, for example
chocolate or lemons, we buy from reputable suppliers, which are
usually fair-trade. Wherever possible, we buy organic ingredients,
but local provenance takes precedence.
We keep our food miles low by using local producers, and minimise
waste by using reusable delivery boxes and biodegradable and
compostable packaging.
We always use butter (no margarine), free range eggs and locally
produced dairy products and organic flour. The fruit and vegetables
we buy are produced locally and according to seasonal availability.
We ensure that everything we make is vegetarian, and organic where
possible. We never use GM products, hydrogenated fats, flavourings,
preservatives or additives so you are always guaranteed top quality.
The only additive we use is baking powder!
Many of our munchies are gluten, wheat, dairy, egg or nut free. We
are always happy to bake to your specific requirements, if you let
us know in advance. Please give us a call, or contact us by e-mail.
If you have a function, a special event, or just want to fill your
freezer with some delicious munchies, please contact us. We are
experienced at catering a range of events from tea parties and
children’s teas to christenings and lunches.
We often supplement our range of tarts and cakes with a range of
seasonal sandwiches and salads to meet specific requirements.
However as we know that each event is different, we will create a
special menu for your individual function. Please call us to discuss
your details.
We also create individual celebration cakes for special occasions.
If you would like us to make you a birthday, anniversary,
christening or wedding cake, please do call us to discuss your
requirements.
We also make and deliver platters of brownies and cookies,
personalised cakes and branded cupcakes and brownies for corporate
events and gifts.
