CAKES AND LOAF CAKES

All our cakes and  loaf cakes are baked fresh to order with local artisan produced unsalted butter and organic flour, local free range eggs and fair trade cane sugar. All our cakes are completely natural, no artificial colours, flavours or additives.  Also, if you would like us to bake free from gluten, egg, dairy or nuts, please do let us know.

WHOLE ROUND CAKES

These cakes are great for a small celebration or a special tea. Cakes are available by the slice at market, with a different selection from our range each week.  As whole cakes, they  are available to order for collection at market in various sizes.   

CLEMENTINE AND ALMOND CAKE

An exceptionally moist cake, packed with citrusy flavour made from whole clementines and ground almonds. This cake is naturally free from gluten and dairy. One customer calls it our 'miracle cake'! We make two versions - with and without the chocolate chips.

Victoria Sandwich


A light traditional buttery sponge, filled with fresh cream or vanilla buttercream and whole strawberry conserve, dusted with sugar.

Chocolate Fudge Cake

A moist fudgy chocolate cake, filled and smothered in a creamy chocolate icing. A true indulgence and a perfect celebration cake.

CARROT CAKE


A moist spiced cake packed with juicy local carrots and raisins covered with a traditional American cream cheese frosting, and finished with walnuts. (We also make a version that is free from gluten.)

Coffee and Walnut Cake

A traditional tea time cake, dense with chopped walnuts and fair-trade coffee, sandwiched and covered with rich coffee butter cream and topped with walnut halves. 

Coconut and Lime Cake

A delicious twist on a classic sponge.  Moist layers of sponge flavoured with fresh lime and desiccated coconut, drenched in a fresh lime syrup.  Then sandwiched and topped with a rich tangy coconut and lime buttercream and finished with toasted coconut.    

BLUEBERRY, ORANGE AND POLENTA CAKE

A beautiful moist cake studded with blueberries.  It is rich with butter and dense with Italian polenta with Fairtrade fresh oranges, and enlivened with Fairtrade orange syrup. 

VEGAN CHOCOLATE LAYER CAKE

A moist chocolately cake, free from eggs and dairy, but rich with fair trade organic cocoa!  Layered with chocolatey icing and decorated with organic fair-trade 70% chocolate buttons.

LOAF CAKES

All our loaf cakes are available as whole cakes, and are also sold by the slice at Farmers' Markets. We have three sizes of loaf cake - starting with our mini loaf cakes - perfect for one; our regular sized loaf cake that serves 6-8 and a family sized loaf cake that serves  8-12.  As everything is freshly made, they are ideal for either eating immediately or home freezing.  Here's a small selection from our range.

Luscious LEMON CAKE

A traditional loaf cake, luscious with fresh lemon zest and drenched in lemon syrup topped with swirls of rich lemon butter cream. (Also available as a traditional lemon drizzle without the buttercream icing.) 

MINI LOAF CAKE SELECTION

All out loaf cakes are available as bite sized mini versions.  Perfect for picnics,lunch boxes and  tea parties!

ST CLEMENT’S FRUIT LOAF

A moist fruity cake, with tea soaked raisins and currants; dark with unrefined sugar and spice; with orange and lemon peel for extra fruitiness!  Dairy and fat free, no added butter.

Orange Polenta Loaf

A moist cake rich with butter and Fairtrade fresh orange zest, dense with Italian polenta and gluten free flour enlivened with orange syrup.

LEMON POPPY SEED LOAF

A rich flavoursome loaf with fresh  lemon zest, enriched with ground almonds and poppy seeds, moistened with fresh lemon syrup and covered in a tart lemon glaze icing. 

FARMHOUSE FRUIT CAKE

A light buttery fruit cake, with ground almonds, sultanas, raisins, currants and cherries. Topped with crunchy almonds and sugar.
