Sweet & Savoury Tarts

All our tarts are made with a pure butter shortcrust pastry and filled with seasonal fruit or vegetables. Our range varies through the year, so please do call or e-mail to find out what we have. We bake both in individual and larger 24 cm round tarts which are both available at Farmers' Markets. We also custom bake in other shapes and sizes - please let us know what you need.  Prices start at £2.50 per individual tart.

Sweet Tarts

Our range of sweet tarts depends on the fresh fruit we can buy at Farmers' Market, and the fruit we have preserved from the previous season!  We love to make almond based fruit tarts, and warming winter treacle tarts.  Here's a  small selection of some of our favourites.  

Rhubarb and Almond Tart

A delicious seasonal tart of fresh rhubarb and soft almond sponge topped with flaked almonds. Delicious served warm with custard.

Strawberry Bakewell Tart

A fresh summer tart, made with our homemade whole strawberry conserve and topped with a light almond sponge and flaked almonds. Particularly good served with fresh cream or ice cream.

Gooseberry and Almond Tart

A delicious seasonal tart of fresh whole gooseberries and rich almond frangipane topped with flaked almonds. Delicious served warm with fresh cream.

Rich Chocolate Tart

A rich chocolately tart with a buttery shortcrust pastry. Delicious served warm with cream or ice cream. 

Fruit Tart

A light fresh tart lined with white chocolate, filled with homemade vanilla custard, and topped with fresh seasonal fruit.

Savoury Tarts

We love to make our tarts by creating delicious seasonal combinations of locally grown vegetables - for example Cherry Tomato and Basil, Courgette and Red Pepper, Roasted Winter Vegetables, Cheesy Leek and Potato. Here's a few photos and some more details of our favourites:

Spinach and Goat’s Cheese

We create a delicious leaf spinach tart with award winning goats cheese from Wobbly Bottom Farm in this flavoursome tart. Perfect for a picnic.

Asparagus and Cheese Tart

Only available for a short time each year, we create a light summery tart filled with a cheesy custard and spears of fresh asparagus.

Herby Mushroom

A robustly flavoured tart rich with mushrooms and fresh herbs.  For nut lovers we also bake a version with walnuts!
